Fat Dissolving Injections

Deoxycholic acid (DC) is an active ingredient of typical Fat Dissolving Injections. It has been used for more than 10 years for fat burning and body contouring. 

The results are not immediate. At your first treatment visit you will receive a series of BELKYRA™ injections in treatment area. At the time of injection and for several days following the injections you will have swelling in the area.  

The active ingredient will cause the fat cells to diminish gradually over the course of the next month following your fat burning injection in the treated area. A series of BELKYRA™ injection may be necessary to achieve optimal results, and these will occur at no sooner than the one-month interval.  

Dr. Ali Famouri will determine the appropriate number of treatment sessions and the amount of fat burning injections you will need at each session. DC is available as the brand name product BELKYRA™ and a generic compounded fat burning injectable.
